Reset Location Button Field
Introduction
The Reset Location Button Field clears one or more connected Geocoder Fields or restores their configured default locations. Use it when visitors need to undo selected addresses, coordinates, markers, or detected locations.
Available in: Starter, Pro, and Agency.
The Reset Location Button is an interaction control. It does not store a submission value of its own.
Configuring the Reset Location Button Field
- Geocoder Fields: select one or more Geocoder Fields that the button should reset.
- Button Label: customize the text displayed on the button.
- Reset to Default: return each selected Geocoder to its configured default coordinates. When disabled, the selected locations are cleared.
One button can reset multiple locations, such as the origin and destination in a route form. Use separate Reset Location Buttons when those locations must be cleared independently.
Setting Up and Using the Reset Location Button Field
- Add the Geocoder Field or Fields that the button should reset.
- Add a Reset Location Button Field.
- Select the target Geocoder Fields.
- Customize the button label if needed.
- Choose whether to clear the selected locations or restore their configured defaults.
- Save the form and test every connected Address, Coordinates, and Map Field.
When clicked, the button resets the selected Geocoders and their connected fields as one synchronized location group.
Saved Value and Outputs
The Reset Location Button stores no independent submission value and provides no location output. The selected Geocoder Fields own the structured location data before and after the reset.
If Reset to Default is enabled, each target receives its own configured default coordinates. Otherwise, the target's current location is cleared.
Troubleshooting
A location does not reset
Confirm that its Geocoder Field is selected in the Reset Location Button settings, then save the form after making the change.
The location returns instead of becoming empty
Disable Reset to Default when the intended result is an empty location. If the option should remain enabled, review the default latitude and longitude configured on the target Geocoder.
The wrong location group resets
Review the selected Geocoder Fields. Independent location groups should use separate Geocoders and, when needed, separate reset buttons.
A repeater row resets unexpectedly
Keep related Geocoder and reset controls in the same repeater row structure, then test adding, removing, and reordering rows before publishing the form.
